In 1996 Global Express decided that a natural expansion of the money order business would be the walk-in bill payment market. Walk-in bill pay allows the retailers customers to pay their utility and other merchant bills in person via the Global Express terminal at the trustee's location.

The Global Express Bill Payment System has become a major bill payment company in the industry. Global Express represents hundreds of utilities merchants and municipalities throughout the United States and processes multi-millions of payments every year.

Many major utility companies have authorized Global Express to be their bill payment processor.
